A delightful, cosy detached holiday cottage full of character and charm, ideal for a romantic getaway or a small family. Situated within the grounds of the owners larger cottage and sitting in an elevated position overlooking stunning countryside. Boasting enclosed gardens on all sides, patio furniture; secure drive and most of all breath-taking panoramic views.
Perfectly situated within 5 minutes walk of the charming village of Goathland in the Esk Valley in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Transforming you back in time are the quaint tearooms, shops and pubs. Goathland is also known for being famous as Aidensfield in the very popular T.V series Heartbeat.
The lodge is situated directly opposite NYMR Goathland Station where magnificent steam trains run frequently from this beautiful rural location. Because of the Lodge’s elevated position, you can take great pleasure in watching the steam trains from the garden. Goathland Station was also used as Hogsmeade station in the first ever Harry Potter film. The station holds special event throughout the year.
Ground Floor
Entrance leading to open plan kitchen and living area. Character beamed ceiling, wooden floor, and windows to all sides to enjoy and take advantage of the fantastic views. Two recliner chairs are located in the living area for your comfort and relaxation. There is a wood burning fire, which is cosy and warm in the winter months. Wall mounted T.V with Freeview.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances, large fridge/freezer, electric oven,dishwasher,microwave and washing machine. There is ample cupboard space; breakfast bar with stools and a high chair is available on request.
First Floor
Entrance leading to open plan stairs with sky light and then continuing to en suite with shower room. Bedroom has a double and single bed accommodating 2 adults and one small child. Dressing table area with seat. Window looks out onto the moorland and steam trains passing by.
